Giving Back Donations: Farmer's Footprint

Giving Back Donations: Farmer's Footprint

Article Summary: Today we highlight Farmer's Footprint, the recipient of our 2024 Q1 and Q2 Giving Back donations. Farmer's Footprint aims to restore human and planetary health through regenerative farming. And this is something we will always get behind!

Today we highlight the recipient of our 2024 Giving Back donations. On a quarterly basis, we donate a portion of all proceeds to an organization that supports initiatives in alignment with our approach to health, wellness, agriculture, and more.

Since we source our grass-fed, grass-finished, pasture-raised tallow from farms practicing regenerative and sustainable methods, it was only fitting that Farmer's Footprint be our recipient for the first two quarters of 2024.

FARMER'S FOOTPRINT

Farmer's Footprint is a non-profit organization that supports regenerative organic agriculture. They are focused on connecting with farmers and the community to restore human and planetary health through regenerative methods.

This organization offers many educational resources on their website. The topics include regenerative agriculture, soil health, as well as glyphosate -- which is covered at length. Farmer's Footprint thoroughly explains many aspects of glyphosate including what it is as well as its impact on human health and our environment. They offer many free resources including links to find a regenerative farm near you, local farmer's markets, and much more.

BRIEF HISTORY

In 2010, Zach Bush, MD walked away from his career in medicine and academia to pursue the relationship between the health of the soil and human health (microbiome), specifically focusing on chronic disease. He spent the next ten years visiting farms across the United States to learn more about soil health and its deep connection to our gut health (microbiome). In 2019, inspired by his journey across rural America, Dr. Zach Bush founded Farmer's Footprint.

The documentary "Farmer's Footprint: Regeneration - The Beginning" was released in 2019 and is available to watch for free on their website. The documentary follows a conventional family farm through the process of transitioning to regenerative practices.

In 2021, Farmer's Footprint launched internationally in Australia. In 2023, Farmer's Footprint expanded its scope to the United Kingdom continuing its effort build on reconnecting people to a regenerative future.

GIVING BACK DONATIONS

Our first two quarter 2024 Giving Back donations went to Farmer's Footprint. We love what they do and what they stand for so it was an easy choice to contribute to their mission the first half of 2024.
