Side Note: Before we began using emu oil in our balms, we took a road trip to the Michigan farm to meet the owners. In speaking with them, we learned about their emu birds, the care they receive and their living conditions, as well as their oil refining process and general outlook. The farm uses nose-to-tail practices to ensure every part of the emu is used and respected. Even the emu egg shells are purchased by local artists and carved into beautiful artwork.
